A wedding is a celebration of love, the joyful beginning to a brand new journey ahead. Suzanna & Jason’s wedding is a perfect example of such celebration. We absolutely love the natural interaction between this adorable couple and their loved ones. The bride’s smile is simply captivating. The happiness and sweet love illustrated through each of the gorgeous images captured by Butter Studios are contagious, and you can see it all right below.
Suzanna & Jason’s love story
From the bride (Suzanna): Jason and I were introduced by mutual friends while he was studying at BCIT and I was at UFV. We were together for 3 years when Jason proposed.
Jason purchased our engagement ring from a jeweler in Malaysia, where I was born. He selected my ring with the help of both our mothers and my sister who took pictures of different ring settings and texted them to him. He made his pick, and my mother brought the ring with her on her next visit to Canada. Being the traditionalist, Jason called my father to ask for his blessing.
Suzanna: We had a ceremony and reception in Malaysia in May. Knowing that a lot of Jason’s family and our friends would not be able to make the trip to Malaysia, we wanted to have a celebration so that we could celebrate with loved ones on this side of the world as well. Having already participated in the formal ceremony in Malaysia, we wanted our Canadian reception to have a bit more of a relaxed and fun atmosphere.

Thoughts from the photographer
Gina of Butter Studios: We were first introduced to Suzanna and Jason by a mutual friend Mary-Anne. In our consultation we were excited to find out that Suzanna was born in Malaysia, also where my partner Chris is from. We had an instant connection.
Gina of Butter Studios: The wedding was one of our last weddings of the year and a perfect way to end off our season. We started the day with the getting ready photos in Langley and then made our way over to the beautiful Swan-E-Set Golf Club for the first look, ceremony and reception.
Gina of Butter Studios: The weather in late October was a little chilly, but we managed to get some great photos with the fall leaves and the weather held out for us during the wedding party shoot. We couldn’t have been happier to document their special day.
