About the Founder and Designer
Baukjen de Swaan Arons is the woman behind Isabella Oliver. It was her vision to bring stylish dressing to the pregnant woman that revolutionised maternity fashion and saw women celebrate their new curves with confidence.
Baukjen: When I was pregnant with my first child, Oliver, I really struggled to find maternity clothes that flattered my pregnancy curves, were comfortable, and also fitted all the way through my pregnancy. I wanted a wardrobe that felt like “me” and that was relaxed and flattering. I couldn’t find that wardrobe. To date, the best compliments I get, and the ones that motivate me the most, is when a woman tells me how much our maternity clothes made a difference to her pregnancy and state of mind. Those really make my day and drive my creative vision forward.
