Today’s enchanting ballerina-themed styled shoot from Daniel Ha of d’Soleil Photography and CC & Jamie Roa of ROA Floral and Event Designs is brimming with beauty, art, and romance, with a playful, whimsical twist. The stunning, luxurious blooms bring elegance and sweetness to the extreme.
The story behind this beautiful shoot truly touched our hearts. It was originally dreamed up by CC Roa, her friend Dame Marta, and Dame Marta’s daughter Katalin 2 years ago, but they never had the chance to carry it out before Dame Marta passed away. Just like a graceful, fearless ballerina, Dame Marta fought a courageous battle with brain tumor, and never lost her joy and dream. This mesmerizing styled shoot is dedicated to Dame Marta Horvath, and it’s not only here to inspire creative minds, but also every dreamer’s heart. It’s never too late to make dreams come true.
Story behind the shoot
CC of ROA Floral and Event Design: This project was a dream I shared with a dear friend, Dame Marta, and her daughter Katalin 2 years ago. It was dream that we planned to achieve, but unforunately never took place.
Last year, Dame Marta was diagnosed with brain tumor. Just like how a graceful Ballerina would handle this kind of challenge, she was brave and never complained about the pain and sufferings she was going through. She passed away peacefully with a smile on her face, and with her beloved daughter, Katalin, by her side.
This styled shoot is like a dream-come-true. I can imagine Dame Marta looking down and saying, “finally CC, it’s about time.”
Inspiration and theme
CC: We wanted to create a playful and romantic ballerina theme with a whimsical twist. From the lush and luxurious use of florals, table settings, and specialty treats, we created something that was a feast to the eyes. The Vancouver Club provided an iconic backdrop to complete the elegant yet playful atmosphere of the shoot.
Amazing Images
CC: Special thanks to Daniel Ha of d’Soleil Photography, who took this project to the next level. He is the genius behind all these amazing images, and truly brought life to this dream. I still tear when I see the images. and the behind the scenes video beautifully done by Jomari of Flip Vision Productions.
