From the Bride-to-be

Pearl: Paris is definitely one of the must-go destinations for us. We planned to go to Paris one year ago and before Joe’s proposal. To be honest, I thought he would propose in Paris, but instead he did it in San Francisco in May of last year. We really wanted to have our engagement pictures taken in Paris to capture the romance of this place. We’re glad that Juliane Berry made our dream come true!

We are going to have our wedding in Hong Kong where we were born. It is very difficult to organize since we live in Toronto. But since all our significant friends and relatives are in Hong Kong, we believe it is most important to share the moment with them. The wedding is going to be in December 2013!

Juliane: For Pearl & Joe’s engagement session, we shot all over Paris. Locations included La Seine, a charming sidewalk café, a carrousel, cobblestone streets, Le Louvre and the Jardin des Tuileries

Artist Statement

Juliane: Paris has a magical ambiance that constantly inspires me as an artist. I’m drawn to the elegant and timeless feel of black & white photos and I have a strong passion for film photography. I put my heart and soul into every photograph. My goal is to capture those perfect fleeting moments and make them timeless. When I feel a connection with my subject, that’s when I shoot. Those are the moments that are special, the moments that connect my viewer to my subject.

Juliane Berry is an international fine art wedding and portrait photographer based in Paris, France. Trained classically in the art of film photography, she began her professional career in 1995 in Los Angeles. Juliane has established clientèle throughout Europe and California. She specializes in hand painting black & white gelatin silver photographs – a dying art practiced since 1860. She shoots both film and digital and is available to travel worldwide for weddings and photo shoots.
