I find more and more women tell me that they wish they took more risks with their look. What’s the worst that can happen? You look back and realize you were a little wild and a whole lot of fabulous? Confidence is key!
When in doubt, think about what your groom likes on you. I’ve had appointments where the bride can’t decide between two gowns, and usually the minute I tell her to think about which one might make her hubby-to-be a little more weak in the knees, it usually helps with her decision making.
Allow yourself to be pleasantly surprised. Sometimes we garner up this vision of what we see ourselves in on that special day, but once the bride is in front of a mirror, trying on gowns, all bets are off! I’ve had plenty of brides walk into an appointment thinking about Cinderella and walk out of that very appointment mind-blown by Jessica Rabbit.

Hayley Paige began her fashion career by interning for Nina Garcia at Elle magazine while attending Cornell University. After the appearance of Hayley’s 10-piece bridal collection in a fashion show at Cornell, Jill Stuart approached Hayley and hired her on the spot. Eventually, her dedication to all things creative led to wardrobe design and styling, where she developed an appreciation for European elements and new Hollywood. Brought on as a head designer at JLM Couture in the fall of 2011, JLM backed and funded the launch of her namesake collection at the age of 25.
Her dresses can now be found in elite bridal publications, as well as being featured on television segments including The Today Show, Good Morning America, E! News, Say Yes to the Dress, and morning news stations around the country. Her endearing and personalized approach to social media has built a community of brides on Instagram at 515K followers.
